Inelastic Collisions

Introduction to Collisions When we think about collision, a simple picture of two objects striking head to head comes into our mind. For example, two cars meeting head to head will result in an accident. Similarly, a person hitting a … Read more

Transformer: Working Principle, Types (Step-Up/Down) & Uses

December 26, 2025September 30, 2025 by Rabina Kadariya
AC Generator 1

Transformer is the device for setting electrical energy between two or more circuits. It works on the basis of the principle of electromagnetic induction. Its main use is to increase (step up) or decrease (step down) voltage levels in power … Read more

AC Generator: Working Principle, Parts, & EMF Equation

September 24, 2025 by Rabina Kadariya
AC Generator

Unlike a Dynamo, an AC generator is a machine that converts mechanical energy into AC energy. It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. A conductor moving in a magnetic field experiences an induced electromotive force (EMF). This EMF, when … Read more

Dynamo (DC Generator): Working Principle, Parts & Diagram

December 26, 2025September 22, 2025 by Rabina Kadariya
Direct Current 2

A dynamo is one of the major applications of electromagnetic induction. It converts mechanical energy into direct current (DC) electrical energy. It is a traditional electricity generator that generates energy on a huge scale. It played a huge role in … Read more

Electromagnetic Induction: Faraday’s Laws, Formula & Examples

December 26, 2025September 18, 2025 by Rabina Kadariya
EM

Electromagnetic induction is the foundation of electromagnetism. Most important discoveries of physics and electrical engineering are on the basis of this phenomenon. It is the process of producing an electromotive force (EMF) and hence current in a conductor by changing … Read more

Motor Effect: Principle, Direction of Force, Types, Applications

December 26, 2025September 16, 2025 by Rabina Kadariya
Motor Effect

After the successful discovery of the relationship between electric current and magnetic field, there comes its important application called the motor effect. The mechanism of producing a mechanical motion by the interaction of electrical energy and magnetism is seen in … Read more

Magnetic Flux: Formula, Units, Conversion, Calculations, Measurement, Applications

October 19, 2025September 14, 2025 by Rabina Kadariya
Magnetic flux

The concept of electromagnetism lies on those imaginary lines of magnetic field. Thus, the total number of field lines entering and leaving a particular surface area is known as magnetic flux. The field lines also indicate the magnetic field strength. … Read more

Magnetic Effects of Electric Current: Principles & Applications

December 26, 2025September 14, 2025 by Rabina Kadariya
Standard candles 1

The electric current along a conductor is eligible to produce a magnetic field around it. This effect is known as the magnetic effects of electric current. This is a naturally occurring fundamental phenomena which is the principle of electromagnetism. Thus, … Read more
