Young Scientists Summit 2024 (YSS 2024)

Nepal Polymer Institute (NPI) and Uniglobe SS/College (UGSS) are going to jointly organize the 8th Young Scientists Summit (YSS-2024) at Uniglobe SS/College, Kamaladi on February 5-6, 2023 (Magh 22-23, 2080 BS) in collaboration with Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), National Innovation Center (NIC), UNESCO- Nepal, and Research and Development Society, Nepal (RDS), and Science Teachers Association of Nepal (STAN). Young researchers from grades VIII to XII nationwide can participate in the summit.

Young Scientists Summit

Young researchers will present their scientific ideas and research works in Six different categories: Engineering and Robotics, Life Sciences, Chemical & Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science (including Artificial Intelligence), and Indigenous Knowledge and Technology. Female and differently able researchers are highly encouraged to participate in the Young Scientists Summit (YSS). The YSS-2024 winners will be selected based on their extended abstract, video clip, poster, and oral presentation. The novelty of the work will be the main criterion of the selection of the project for the award. Young Scientist titles will be awarded to winners in Six distinct categories with Certificates and Medals.

The award winner in each category will be eligible to apply for participation in the 13th Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS). The YSS Awardees will be provided with other research and networking opportunities at both national and international level.

General Rules

  1. The projects must be original and related to Science & Technology or Management. Supplementary devices or equipment needed to run a project or any feature can be brought.
  2. The project presentation must fully adhere to the project submitted at the time of registration.
  3. Supporting figures, diagrams, or pictures can be displayed in the stall so as to make the project more informative and clearer.
  4. The projects including their constituents MUST NOT contain any hazardous or unauthorized chemicals and explosives or other dangerous materials.
  5. Projects will be allowed for presentation and discussion based on the norms of good scientific practices.
  6. The Organizing Committee shall provide electric power connections, if needed, only for the projects but institutional participants must bring all required accessories.
  7. All the participants are requested to be in formal or institutional attire.
  8. The final selection of projects (institution-wise) that can be entered in this Exhibition-cum-Competition will be made by the Scientific Committee. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Scientific Committee will be final.
